Ibiza-Villa-To-Rent-Can-Rafa- (3)

Spanning rustic fincas to contemporary retreats, the island homes we sold this year showcase the very best of Balearic living.

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year of connecting discerning buyers with exceptional island homes. From sourcing turnkey villas to finding projects primed for redevelopment – our expertise and understanding of the island proved invaluable.

Ibiza’s allure lies in its contrasts – world-renowned nightlife balanced with restorative retreats – and the properties we represented embodied this diversity. From bold statements of style to design that evokes the slower pace of life, our villas sold this year, many exclusive to us, had something for everyone.

Think rural retreats where time slows and pristine apartments that survey the vibrant landscape. Here’s a look at the properties that defined 2024 for us.

Can Rafa

One for those seeking Ibiza’s laid-back pace of life, seven-bedroom Can Rafa celebrates nature at every turn. Enveloped by rolling hills and pine forest, views follow you around the five-hectare plot – dotted with terraces to take in the surroundings. Design by architect Pilar Briales keeps interiors understated, while large windows frame postcard-worthy panoramas. Away from the house, a 17-metre pool is the place to switch off. Cool down and practice lengths with only the pine trees for company; the pool house – complete with a kitchen, bathroom and dining room – provides the post-swim necessities.

Can Ladera

Panoramic sea and pine forest views steal the show at this five-bedroom villa – a creative collaboration by island-based designers Blakstad and Ibiza Interiors. Perched high on the hillside overlooking Dalt Vila, a main house and guest casita have been thoughtfully modernised. Rustic in style, lofty ceilings pair with restored Sabina beams, while a wealth of glazing ensures the social hubs stay bright. Outdoors, landscaped Mediterranean gardens play host to chill-out spots and an al fresco kitchen, plus a saltwater pool with a counter-current system.

"If you want to sell a design-led home, you have to consider the whole package which is what Domus Nova do so well. The first time we met Rupert, he had this star appeal. He'd sold similar properties and knew what he was talking about. He knew Ibiza."

- Maja & Jan Bach, former Can Ladera owners

Can Gertrudis

Tucked on the outskirts of Santa Gertrudis, a charming hamlet sets the scene for this two-bedroom finca. Masterfully bridging the gap between old and new, expect interiors that honour that home’s heritage – but with contemporary touches. Dark beams, minimalist modern details and a rustic kitchen with a Lacanche range cooker. Outdoors, al fresco living areas give way to verdant grounds; just follow the fruit trees to a terrace with a swimming pool. On warmer evenings, open the bedroom doors to a roof terrace with panoramic treetop views.

Can Danni

Swaying palm trees set the scene at this feel-good villa just outside Santa Gertrudis. Well-connected yet calming, the setting here is hard to beat. Can Danni‘s fenced grounds sit scattered with orange groves, while surrounding pine forests provide a sense of seclusion. Wellness comes naturally – note the CrossFit gym, yoga yurt and tennis court – and when you’re ready to wind down, there’s a poolside sound system for lazy afternoons. Designed for entertaining, the outdoor kitchen and bar features a gas-fired barbecue and a dining area.

Can Lebi

Nestled within the rolling hills of central Ibiza, Can Lebi comes carpeted with greenery for as far as the eye can see. A chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, this setting – spanning a main house and separate casita – invites complete tranquillity inside and out. Interiors are sleek, modern and wrapped in glass, with retractable doors that connect indoor spaces to a large wraparound terrace. From here, look out over the infinity pool and decked lounge, backdropped by fragrant orange, lemon and fig trees.

Can Romeros

A stone’s throw from San Carlos, this oceanside plot comes with submitted plans for a contemporary home masterminded by renowned studio Blakstad. Can Romero’s proposed property includes a main house and guesthouse – imagined with design-led interiors, three sheltered terraces and striking sea views inside and out. Stretching out beneath the Balearic sun, an infinity pool completes the line up. A few sandy footsteps away, down an access path, is the glistening eastern edge of Ibiza.

Can Miguel

Found among the rolling hills of San Miguel and San Lorenzo, this traditional finca is now being reimagined by its new owners and island-based interior specialists Bloom Studio. Proposed plans for Can Miguel put a spin on traditional interiors – think modern design that embraces tactile textures and sweeping open-plan spaces. Outdoors, conceptual plans elevate 58,000 sq metres of verdant grounds. Alongside the swimming pool, picture white stone patios, pergolas and a sunken fire pit for cosy evenings.

La Vue

From its elevated vantage point high in the gated Can Furnet community, this stylish apartment surveys its surroundings. Wall-to-wall glazing frames La Vue‘s enviable vistas – out to where the Talamanca coastline greets the horizon – while open-plan living brings an ease to everyday life. The streamlined kitchen flows into a scenic dining space, beams crown a cosy nook, and an additional lounge looks out across the scenery. From here, step outside to plunge straight into the pool. Terraces to either side are positioned for post-swim relaxation and sunset views.
