KENSINGTON PARK ROAD
This bright and stylish four-bedroom family home really epitomised vibrant Notting Hill style. The pastel-coloured frontage of the four-storey building gave way to white walls with beautiful original cornicing and stripped pine floorboards within – the perfect canvas for a wonderfully eclectic mix of décor.
Spread over 2,000 sq ft, the interior of the house seamlessly blended with the outdoor space, of which there was plenty, with two manicured gardens and a cosy terrace. Entering into the house through the hallway into a bright and spacious high-ceilinged dining room with original wooden shutters, the eye was drawn through to the sleek dark units of the galley kitchen. The beautifully crafted marble worktops and backsplash and the copper hardware gave it a glamorous finish.
Downstairs on the lower ground floor, a magnificent reception with a double height window led onto the lush timber-decked garden. A large double bedroom and bathroom on this floor provided flexible accommodation.
On the first floor, a large double bedroom painted in rich navy blue was lit by the extraordinary floor to ceiling French windows onto the original balcony. The room interconnected with a smaller bedroom which was used as a nursery but would have also worked brilliantly as a dressing room or office. At the top of the house on the second floor was a bright master bedroom with a spacious en-suite bathroom with free-standing roll-top bath.
