Originally designed by renowned island architecture studio Blakstad, Villa Mariposa has been sensitively updated by its current owners to bring it into the 21st century. Original features that have stood the test of time – from whitewashed walls to Sabina wood and exposed stone – are embraced and elevated with modern perks. Set on a five-hectare plot in rural surrounds, privacy comes naturally here. Living space is arranged across the main house with six en suite bedrooms, and a separate casita with an additional bedroom plus its own kitchenette and private garden. This generous footprint makes Villa Mariposa ideal for larger groups and families.
Throughout, Blakstad lightwells lend an airy feel, while a steady sense of flow keeps bright social spaces connected with the outdoors. Numerous terraces, a poolside cabana and an outside living area make the most of the spectacular countryside and sunset views on offer.
