A traditional Spanish farmhouse reimagined as a contemporary island home. This four-bedroom rental villa is a design-led oasis crafted by Moredesign.

Past a terracotta-toned courtyard, bougainvillea-clad white walls denote the entrance to this idyllic hideaway. Set among the pines and palms of Ibiza, Finca Amanecer takes its cues from nature. Island-based studio Moredesign have created a sympathetic conversion imbued with a sense of organic tactility.

Accessed via a cobbled entranceway, the main living space enjoys a dramatic double-height volume. The tall flue of an Ibicenco-style fireplace appears dissected by a curving mezzanine above, its playful metal balustrade adding both rigour and geometric flair. Unshaped sabina beams cross the high ceiling, crowning the space with textural detail.

A separate media snug is characterised by sweeping banquette seating while a skylit kitchen is ideal for preparing family meals. Dark stone worktops and knotted wood cupboard fronts are complemented by brass accents, a Smeg range oven adding farmhouse charm. This space leads directly into a generous dining area.

Centred around an impressive 14-metre-long swimming pool, exterior spaces have been considerately crafted to create private spots each with a unique character. A dining terrace provides sun-drenched surrounds for convivial meals with up to 10 people. Overhead, flowering plants traverse the terrace as woven light fittings illuminate the space. Expansive lounge areas enjoy pine forest views and extend into a covered bar and a cobbled dining alcove. Beyond, a verdant lawn beckons with the promise of volleyball games.

Calming and comfortable, the home’s principal bedroom suite draws together alcove shelving, fitted storage and a Juliet balcony. Its en suite bathroom features a monolithic stone vanity and a walk-in rainfall shower. The villa features three further bedrooms, each pairing an abundance of natural light with a restrained palette of tones and textures.
