Characterised by a harmonious aesthetic and driven by the belief that thoughtful design underpins and amplifies wellbeing, nune designs layered interiors that create a sensorial experience.

Influenced by the colourful community life of New York where she lived for twelve years, Sheena, the founder of this head-turning design studio, is introducing a dose of Stateside modernism to London’s interior design scene. Setting up as sheep + stone in 2014 in the U.S and rebranding as nune in keeping with its London launch, this practice creates spaces that revolve around human connection, comfort and beauty. Tackling projects both in the UK and America with business partner tor sauder, nune delves into the property’s context and architecture alongside the lifestyle of the client to compose a unified space that resonates.

Eclectic furniture, united by a carefully chosen neutral colour palette, natural materials and considered patterns, make nune’s eco-friendly designs both timeless and fluid. Projects include the redesign of her own three-storey late Victorian home in Queens Park – a seamless mix of vintage and contemporary pieces –  as well as a rescued 19th-century Brooklyn Brownstone in Brooklyn Park Slope.
