An interior design studio for period and character homes, designing each interior from the building itself.

Levan House Design works with period and character homes in London and Sussex. Every scheme begins with the architecture: its proportions, its history and the limits a period or listed property sets. The studio takes time to understand how a home is lived in, so each scheme suits both the building and the people in it.

Founded in 2013 by Lynsey Evans, the studio is led by three partners whose training includes KLC School of Design and BIID registration. Between them, their experience includes senior roles at some of London’s most respected residential studios, with work spanning Chelsea, Knightsbridge, South Kensington and Mayfair, alongside international commissions in Hong Kong and New York.

Antiques sit alongside contemporary pieces in every project, and a small network of trusted craftsmen and joiners carries each design through to a finish that matches it. Each commission is led personally by one of the partners, from the first conversation to final installation, with the studio taking on a limited number each year. 2026 projects include an Italianate townhouse in Kensington and a flint cottage in West Sussex.
