A furniture and interior design company characterised by organic shapes, natural symbolism and earthy materials – connecting the indoors to nature through outstanding artisanal design and construction.
Fred Rigby started out life as a furniture maker in 2008, before expanding into interior design for both domestic and commercial spaces. The company’s ethos is simple: to enhance everyday living with beautifully crafted furniture that has comfort and playfulness at its heart. His Dorset childhood inspired a love of the natural world, which comes through in the organic shapes of furniture, whilst his time at Kingston University studying art and design expanded his knowledge of the practicalities of product design.
Today the company prides itself on the use of British materials, suppliers and manufacturers. Production practices are thoughtful—time-tested handcraft meets the latest technology. The raindrop table offers understated elegance; the cove armchair is at once stylish and cosy.
As well as numerous private residencies in the UK and internationally, Fred Rigby Studio has also designed interiors for the Michelin-starred restaurants Ellory and Leroy, the boutique hotel Villa Lena in Tuscany and the Flow Gallery in London and Francis Gallery in Bath.
