Las Cicadas: A thoroughly Ibizan secret

Las Cicadas is surrounded by mature lawned gardens which overlook the mountains. Shade is provided by ancient olive, fig and fruit trees, including apricots, oranges, lemons and avocados. Las Cicadas produces its own olive oil and even has its own farm shop on site where many of the local chefs pop in to purchase their produce.

Inside the villa, warm terracotta Spanish floor tiles and whitewashed original stone walls frame light-filled interiors that lend themselves to a design aesthetic that embraces a super-relaxed pared back look. There are stylish mid-century modern furnishings, big sofas and shelves full of books to help you feel at home. The interior influences resemble traditional Ibicencan meets vibrant new Mexican, with a splash of contemporary style. Furnishings at Las Cicadas are vintage finds, with one-off pieces scouted from markets, auctions and artisans from all over the world.

“The concept of Las Cicadas was born from my love of sharing my home with good people. I grew up in a big farmhouse in the north of Ibiza and we always had guests staying with us. Musicians, writers, drifters, mystics, freaks and hippies… our house was always open. I was inspired by these people from a young age and have always kept my doors open since then. Las Cicadas is available year-round and minimum stays are three nights. There is a full events team at Las Cicadas available for weddings or events. Prices start at €1,000 per night and go up to €3,000 per night depending on the season but can vary according to availability.
