On a private cobbled street below Ibiza’s ancient Dalt Vila, this former fisherman’s home has been thoughtfully restored to breathe new life into its old bones. Once a modest dwelling, it’s now a haven overflowing with bespoke artisan details.
The building’s traditional features have been catapulted into the present day by interior architects Pirajean Lees. Paying homage to its past, preserved stone walls give way to custom finishes that enliven a series of seamless living spaces.
Terracotta tiles and natural textures flow across the ground floor bringing a calming feel. Double-height ceilings highlight the generous heritage proportions, while ornate wooden doors conceal a storage studio and utility room. Up a set of stairs lies the first of five bedrooms, complete with an en suite bathroom and views onto the quaint cobbled street.
Two further bedrooms with harbour views are found on the next floor, along with and the heart of the home – the kitchen and dining room. The well-appointed open-plan space has been meticulously renovated, while retaining the home’s ancient stone walls. Disused doorways and wall niches have been transformed into innovative storage and lighting solutions. Custom wooden cabinetry and a stone butler sink are a striking contrast to the state-of-the-art integrated appliances that make the space ideal for entertaining.
French doors frame views of the boats weaving their way in and out of the harbour in the living room, creating the perfect spot for watching the world go by. Traditional beamed ceilings and tiled floors are particularly striking here, while a log burner ensures the room is cosy outside of the summer season. Also on this floor you’ll find the principal bedroom and a further guest bedroom, along with their adjoining en suite bathrooms featuring rainfall showers and artisan-made tiles. Views out over Ibiza old town and the harbour from the private balconies are a particular highlight.
At the top of the house, a private roof terrace enjoys wraparound vistas of the sea and Formentera as well as the ancient defences and red-roofed buildings of Dalt Vila. A second carefully considered kitchen serves the terrace, ensuring al fresco hosting is a priority, complete with a panoramic backdrop of the Mediterranean.

Enquire nowSpanning 2,500 years of history, there’s a reason the ancient fortifications of Ibiza Old Town have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Winding up from the Portal de Ses Taules gateway to the cathedral-adorned summit, the cobbled streets bear the marks of Dalt Vila’s Phoenician founders. For a taste of more recent cultural legacies, there’s the Museu d’art Contemporani d’Eivissa, the open-air Cinema Paradiso or the neighbourhood’s many forward-thinking culinary institutions to explore – from the romantic La Torreta to Sabbaba, perched at the top of the Gran Hotel Montesol.
