Founded in 2018 by Harriet Farlam and Ben Chandler, the duo combine experience in art and garden design with planning and project management. Working across contemporary spaces to heritage estates and hotels, they think deeply, work respectfully and tread lightly.

Their gardens are designed at the tipping point of harmony, creating spaces that feel at ease but are also exciting. Balancing modern design with traditional practices, their combination of practical and thoughtful planting creates a sense of calm and wellbeing.

Crafting havens for local wildlife, the studio purposefully support a symbiotic balance of human requirements, wildlife and biodiversity. Longevity and durability are key, while wildlife habitats, water capture and re-use, and harnessing the elements all play a part in design. They create a narrative that reads through everything, a solid framework overlaid with an elemental poetry that unfolds across the seasons and years. They make resilient gardens to last, mature and change over time.
