Founded by Isabella Valenzia while living in Rajasthan in 2021, Pelican House has an uncompromising attitude to quality and style. They believe in the distribution of fair value between their customers and creators – measurable commercially, socially, and ecologically.
The studio see the artisans they work with as artists. They aim to partner with them in the truest sense, elevate their talents, connect you with their characters, and in return, give deeper meaning to homes. All done through bespoke, ethical, beautifully crafted rugs and textiles.
Selecting suppliers on ethical grounds, Pelican House collaborate with a curated community of responsible designers and artists. They work closely with NGOs, such as Label STEP and GoodWeave, to ensure the interests of their artisans are protected at each stage of the process.
Pelican House is accountable, responsible, and sustainable by design - opting to use materials such as PET Yarn, Jute, and Nettles.
