Ochre is the destination for those in search of discreet glamour. First specialising in stylised lighting, they now house an impressive collection of elegant homewares.
Ochre is the invention of British designers Joanna Bibby and Harriet Maxwell Macdonald, who founded the company in 1996, joined four years later by Solenne de la Fouchardière. Their collection consists of furniture, lighting and home accessories, all made with high quality craftmanship and luxury materials. Whether it’s a chandelier, discreet wall lighting or statement multi-tiered pendant lights, Ochre’s lighting is a hallmark of aesthetic elegance. The trio find inspiration in textures; particular furniture standouts include their saddle leather and horn handles and burnished mirrors, and recently launched their vegetable-dyed handwoven rugs.
Ochre has beautiful showrooms on Pimlico Road in London and New York. The brand continues to grow organically across the world, always remaining faithful to their well-considered design roots. Whether they are selling to individuals, boutique hotels or restaurants, Ochre is consistent in their raw, uncomplicated and luxurious style.
