Kinder Design

Founded by Leo Wood in 2019, Kinder Design is a Camberwell-based interior design studio creating thoughtful, characterful spaces across residential and selected commercial projects.

Its work is grounded in the belief that interiors should feel personal, practical and built to last, with each scheme shaped closely around the people who inhabit it.

The studio describes its aesthetic as ‘Eclectic Minimal’: pared-back interiors where clean architectural lines meet expressive colour, carefully sourced furniture and bespoke pieces. Rather than filling a space, Kinder Design gives individual objects room to breathe, often combining vintage finds with contemporary joinery and commissions from independent craftspeople. The result is calm but never anonymous – layered spaces with a strong sense of identity and longevity.

Collaboration and resourcefulness sit at the centre of its process, with the studio working closely with clients, architects, contractors and makers to transform overlooked spaces into homes, workplaces and community environments. Sustainability is equally integral. Materials are sourced with care, existing pieces are repurposed wherever possible and new additions are conceived for longevity. Underpinning it all is a simple ethos: to design kindly, creating interiors that enrich everyday life while minimising their environmental impact.
