Having moved to Ibiza 15 years ago, interior designer Dolores Batselare inspiration for her work from the island she now calls ‘home’
Expect spaces that feel calm and connected, with seamless transitions between the indoors and out. Palettes are pared-back, textures are natural. Craftsmanship underpins Dolores’ work. Working with local craftsmen and women, her interiors are made in a bespoke fashion. There’s a certain trial-and-error process in finding the perfect shades, finishes and surfaces, a method which elevates Dolores’ personalised practice even further.
Her latest venture, Villa Nomad, is a product of worldwide travel and creative imagination. Its sandy tones and plaster walls reflect nearby beaches, whilst alang alang fringed ground floor roof, sourced from Bali, gives the building a more tropical persuasion.
