Interior designer Christian Bense is making waves in his creativity and innovation – fusing traditional South African style with the traditional British interiors.
Christian Bense launched his interior design studio in 2020, having completed a bachelor’s degree in South Africa and further honing his skills with leading London-based duo Turner Pocock. He provides a full creative service, from the initial consultancy to selecting the final pieces of artwork.
Christian notes the importance of mixing contemporary and traditional elements but ensures that there is not one-size-fits-all in his practice; some homes may have different ratios of new and old, drawing from different eras and styles. It is this ambiguity that ensures a uniqueness in his projects. Each of his projects is an entirely collaborative experience between himself and the clients, with an aim to create fashionable living spaces which celebrate texture and colour.
