The History of Domus Nova
Domus Nova has been in business over 15 years and has grown rapidly into the unique and innovative independent west London estate agency it is today. We are proud that we still hold true the founding vision and principles that were defined when we first started.
The birth of Domus Nova
Domus Nova was founded in the late 1990s by a fashion photographer when he grew tired of the fashion industry. Armed with an extensive network of friends and clients, he set up a small London-based estate agency that specialised in extraordinary properties.
Domus Nova was born.
Domus Nova was founded upon simple yet unique principles – to focus on truly outstanding properties and to create stunning photography to showcase them.
This innovative approach generated both attention for the business, and a growing following of fans. In an era that celebrated Cool Britannia, Domus Nova was no exception. The press were also interested in our unconventional approach, and our client base became something much bigger than a group of friends trading their wonderful homes. Soon, clients from around the world who shared Domus Nova’s passion for remarkable design and architecture were taking advantage of our method of ‘matchmaking’ buyers to their dream properties.
A new era of Domus Nova
Around ten years ago, Domus Nova moved to Notting Hill to focus even more closely on the exceptional properties that are so abundant in this fascinating part of London. We had made our mark on the property world, found a following and had begun to define our own marketplace.
It was time for the founding owner to hand over the keys as he decided to move to Italy. Although he is no longer directly involved, his vision of creating an exciting and exceptional estate agency remains firmly at the heart of Domus Nova today.
The business continued to grow rapidly from its Alexander Street office. Over the next three years, demand increased so generously that it was time for us to really establish local presence and find an additional office right in the centre of Notting Hill.
Domus Nova’s second home on Kensington Park Road was architect designed by Found Associates to reflect the values and culture of the company. The impressive position proved to be a great success and helped us to continue to grow and to define our company even more clearly. Late 2012 saw the opening of our third branch on Westbourne Grove, as equally beautiful as our Kensington Park Road office, with all architecture and designed completed by Camu & Morrison. The Bayswater opening affirmed Domus Nova’s positioning as one of west London’s leading property agency firms.
Today, Domus Nova remains an independent estate agent specialising in exceptional properties in London. Offering a range of services and expertise, our vision is now supported by a diversity of print and digital marketing, combined with invaluable word of mouth.
Domus Nova has found a successful combination for the future - locally, London-wide and internationally.
