Baker Street Boys are exhibiting at Clerkenwell Design Week 2016 where, alongside their already acclaimed ‘The Line’ collection, they will present a new exclusive ‘Pick n’ Mix’ concept that puts designer power in the hands of the client. Deconstructing “The Line” into modular tops and bases will give everyone the opportunity to create new unique pieces by combining different materials and colours.
This London-based furniture brand was founded by Tomasz Danielec and Arkadiusz Glanowski in 2014. Trained as an architect, Tomasz conceived and led the creation of Baker Street Boys’ debut collection 'The Line', a versatile range of tables, stools and storage made with a simple yet stylish fusion of raw steel and natural oak.
Inspired by the industrial revolution and 19th century London, the first collection of ‘The Line’ included tables and stools made of raw steel and natural oak air dried beteen five and fifteen years. More materials are now being added to offer new colours and textures. This extended selection, including Perspex, marble and cork, will be central to the success of the new ‘Pick n’ Mix’ idea as it significantly increases the number of possible combinations available to clients.
Strong materials, bold lines and fine craftsmanship are Baker Street Boys’ unique selling points. Each hand-crafted piece makes a unique work of art that enhances and adds value to any style of interior, from contemporary to classic.
“I am very excited by the fact that 2016 will be our first time at CDW. There is no better place to showcase our collection and introduce ‘Pick n’ Mix’. We look forward to witnessing how CDW’s visitors and exhibitors will respond to it.” -Tomasz Danielec - architect, co-owner and lead designer at Baker Street Boys
