With a portfolio that oozes creative cool, the studio has fabricated spatial experiences for high-end clients including the likes of Nike, Preen, Matthew Williamson, Guinness, Vans and Urban Outfitters to name a few.
Working in a variety of mediums from the seemingly simplistic cardboard, to wood and metal, the studio succeed in creating innovation across the board; injecting themes of simplicity in execution and considered, unique design throughout their work.
From one-off office interior design to large scale projects such as fashion week sets, the studio design, produce and install an entirely individual reimagination of interior, utilising the ideas of constructivism, spatialism, light and colour to produce an outcome which is both influential and inspirational.
After graduating from studying Fine Art sculpture BA [Hons] at Falmouth College of Art in 2007, Sam Ludgate moved to London where he went on to become one half of the art directing duo Sam & Arthur.
The team collaborated together in their art direction partnership for five years focusing on creating sets and props for commercials music videos and short films, working for high-end clients including Smirnoff, All Saints and Converse. After a five-year stint, Sam & Arthur disbanded with Sam conceptualising SAMLUDGATE STUDIO.
