Stylist's Apartment - Diego Revollo

Diego Revollo is one of Brazil's most prominent interiors and architecture designers. Known for his use of classical elements in contemporary projects, he started his career working beside some of the industry’s greats and today has his own office in São Paulo. In addition to several awards, Revollo has completed projects throughout Brazil and South America, and also works as an advisor on global architectural and design magazines.

With an incredible affection for beauty and fashion, the owner of this apartment is a Brazilian TV host and personal stylist. He enlisted Diego Revollo to create a unique and deeply personal apartment for him, knowing too well that Revollo would design his dream home given they have been close friends for years. The client has lived in various fashion destinations worldwide, including Milan, New York and London. Inspired by such places, the design concept was to incorporate the cosmopolitan and glamorous feel of these cities to the original architectural features of this traditional property in São  Paulo, measuring 250m2. He wanted to retain the high ceilings and impressive square footage, and in addition great lighting and ventilation throughout.

This “international” appeal had to be as stylish as well as comfortable, where modern design brings together classic elements, modern hues, Italian furniture and a luxurious finish. The boldness and bravery of this project was demonstrated perfectly by the art throughout, including a nude photograph of Raquel Zimmermann against a vintage chandelier, an Eva Herzigová picture that contrasts with transparent chairs and a very modern table in the dining room.

The bespoke style of the apartment reflects the client’s personality and way of living perfectly. His work on fashion editorials and contemporary arts all reflect the aesthetic impact of Revollo´s interior design style.
