Inverted to make the most of the panoramic outlook, the upper floor reception room enjoys uninterrupted sightlines out to the sea. Bathed in natural light, a dining table that seats eight sits at the heart of the space. Rattan lamps overhead cast a glow as dusk sets in. Kick back in the L-shaped sofa or slide open the walls of glazing to the terrace. Loungers and parasols allow you to chase the sun or the shade – or cool off with a dip in the glass-bottomed infinity pool.

For post-swim refreshments or more substantial meals, there’s a full service kitchen with direct access from the upstairs terrace- complete with oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and a wine cooler. For more varied meals and handcrafted cocktails, take your pick from the three restaurants and four bars on site.

Each of the four bedrooms are located on the ground floor to ensure privacy and comfort. Seamless boundaries between inside and out continue here, with all sleeping spaces leading out onto a private garden and whirlpool. In the principal suite, a palette of earthy tones and natural materials lends a calming feel. A freestanding bathtub at one side of the bed adds an element of decadence. The en suite is soothing in its simplicity: expect neutral tones, tactile stone and a huge walk-in shower.
