Drawing on a tight-knit team with diverse expertise, this practice combines architectural form and naturalistic planting to form award-winning landscapes.
Skirting one-size-fits-all designs and building close relationships with its clients, Marcus Barnett Studio creates gardens and landscapes that are seductive and absorbing in their visual beauty, harmonious, ever-changing, and with a slowly unfolding story. What may seem deceptively simple and uncluttered quickly reveals layers of design complexity that invite exploration and fulfil the needs of its clients. Crisply geometric and precise in form, Marcus Barnett Studios richly planted spaces, each with its own mood and character, diffuse boundaries between in and out.
Founded by Marcus Barnett in 2004, he has scooped up multiple Gold Medals at the Chelsea Flower Show since launching his practice. Working on a range of projects from intimate townhouse gardens and roof terraces to large country estates, Marcus Barnett Studios has grown his clientele to include exclusive housing developments, hotels, vineyards and wineries in the UK and overseas. Standout work include a De Stijl-inspired garden in Chelsea, a refined rooftop space in Holland Park and a crisp, clean take on a traditional English garden in the Cotswolds.
