Interior architect Dolores Batselaere and daughter Maxine take cues from the Ibizan landscape to inform tranquil, light-flooded spaces.
Having moved to Ibiza 15 years ago, interior designer Dolores Batselare takes inspiration for her work from the island she now calls ‘home’. Expect environments that feel calm and connected, with seamless transitions between the indoors and out. Palettes are pared-back; textures are natural. Craftsmanship underpins the mother-daughter duo’s work. Working with local craftsmen and women, their interiors are made in a bespoke fashion. There’s a certain trial-and-error process in finding the perfect shades, finishes and surfaces, a method which elevates this personalised practice even further.
Their latest ventures, Villa Nomad and Can Terra, are products of worldwide travel and creative imagination. Their sandy tones and plaster walls reflect nearby beaches, whilst natural materials, gives the building a more tropical persuasion.
