Architect Pep Torres’ deep revere for Ibizan history inspires his eclectic projects, designed to reflect the serenity of Ibiza’s natural surroundings and defined by a focus on minimalism and transparency.

Ibizan native Pep Torres founded his architecture studio in 2017, renovating Can Toni d’en Rafal, a house originally built by his grandfather, into a peaceful space which fosters innovation, creativity and mindfulness. A graduate from the ETSA in Barcelona, Torres’ projects are an ode to the rich history of Ibiza, infusing traditional features with modern silhouettes to encapsulate the connected relationship between past and present. The studio has over 30 years of experience, exhibiting an imaginative spirit through their intricate new-builds and paying respect to classic Ibizan architecture through timeless renovations. Attuned to the beauty of the idiosyncratic landscape, the firm is committed to delivering fluency between interior and exterior, melding clean lines with unique perspectives to complement and enhance the surrounding environment.

Collaborating closely with governmental bodies and local authorities, their acute knowledge and commitment to the craft awarded them the College of Architecture’s ‘Premis de Arquitectura d’Eivissa i Formentera’ for their work on the Walter Waller House (1988-93) and the Nicolai House (1990-94).
