OHLAB’s unwavering commitment to sustainability in design merged with their inspired ingenuity undeniably makes them one to watch. Initially established by directors Paloma Hernaiz and Jaime Oliver in Shanghai before relocating to Madrid and finally settling in Palma de Mallorca, the duo work alongside 18 architects, interior designers and building engineers to seamlessly execute projects. With a style that reimagines traditional Mediterranean architecture from a contemporary perspective, OHLAB are dedicated to constructing properties with a view to achieving maximum energy efficiency and channelling an abundance of natural light.
Their environmentally-focused mindset has earned them a firm reputation as pioneers of sustainable architecture, as well as a multitude of awards. Recent projects include one of the tallest Passivhaus certified residential buildings in Spain, a 3,000 m2 property in a XIII century historical building and Casa Xaloc, the first Plus Energy structure in Mallorca.
