Guided by their passion for a circular economy, sustainable design and inclusive community, this west London social enterprise puts people and the planet first.

Furniture makers with a mission. Design and sustainability pioneers Marie Cudennec Carlisle and Oliver Waddington-Ball opened the doors to Goldfinger at the foot of Trellick Tower in 2013. Named after Ernö Goldfinger — the infamous architect of the Grade II listed Brutalist building and James Bond’s infamous villain — Goldfinger founders decided to take its literal meaning as inspiration: ‘the material we touch, we turn to gold’.

The team create bespoke furniture and homeware in their North Kensington wood and joinery workshop, for a mix of residential and commercial settings. The Goldfinger Academy hosts workshops for children and young people to learn the art of sustainable woodworking. Every object produced by the company is created with respect for the planet, enthusiasm to develop woodwork skills and to give back to the local community.
