Claudio Silvestrin Architects has spent more than three decades making a compelling case for restraint. Established in London in 1989, with a Milan office added in 2006, the practice is known for architecture that strips away visual noise in favour of proportion, natural materials and an almost meditative sense of space.

Its founder, Italian architect and designer Claudio Silvestrin, trained in Milan and at London’s Architectural Association. His work is frequently described as minimalist, yet it rarely feels cold. Stone, timber, plaster, water and carefully controlled light bring warmth and permanence to interiors defined by rigorous geometry and an absence of ornament.

The studio’s portfolio moves easily between private residences, galleries, hotels, restaurants, retail spaces and large-scale developments. Clients have included Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Anish Kapoor, Victoria Miro and Kanye West, reflecting Silvestrin’s influence across fashion, art and contemporary culture.

Notable projects range from the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin to Giorgio Armani’s international retail spaces and the monumental Torino Outlet Village, where long stone arcades and open perspectives transform a commercial development into something more ceremonial.
