Can Fray

Can Fray has been passed down through the same Ibicencan family for almost 200 years. One of the island’s oldest fincas, it is now a distinguished holiday home. Set above from the buzz of San Antonio, it is perched on a hill decorated with thick, fragrant woodland. Events will feel special here; a bohemian backdrop for declaring vows, an intimate setting for those once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

You get a real sense of history here, as you step across its sandstone cobbles and into the traditional farmhouse. Original features – whitewashed walls, Sabina wood, exposed stone – are embraced and elevated with all the perks of 21st-century living. Air conditioning, WiFi, international TV and a Sonos sound system. A modern, well-equipped kitchen links up to an open-plan living/ dining room.

Wander through terraced gardens to the infinity pool framed by sun loungers and views across the bay of San Antonio. A shaded al fresco kitchen, dining area, cabana and outdoor cinema make this a great spot for setting up camp all day. Or gathering for those world-famous sunsets before bed.

Of the six individually styled bedrooms, the master suite is the standout. Carved into ‘The Tower’, it enjoys a private office, luxury bathroom and scenic terrace. An independent studio – separate from the main house – has a large double bedroom, kitchen and rustic-luxe bathroom. Ideal for those craving extra privacy.

Just beyond Can Fray, you can visit its owner family’s small farm to say hi to horses, sheep and pet goats. Especially popular with children. That aside, the surrounding trees are your closest neighbours.
