Carson Terrace, W11
This property was originally built in the late 1960s by the architect Peter Aldington for the then editor of the Architectural Review, Tim Rock.
The founding partner of Aldington Craig and Collinge, Aldington quickly earned an international reputation for designing small houses that respected their locations and maximised the accommodation within. Aldington took joy in the use of materials and explored the dynamics of the plain form and the way the owners would use the space.
The current owner bought the property five years ago. It was obvious then that the building required care and attention to ensure that the intentions of the original architect were respected and that the character of the building could shine.
